Dr Bibi Jan Mohamed Ayyub (PBM, BBM (L)) is a highly respected educator, counsellor, and social activist in Singapore. With over four decades of experience in school and family counselling, she began her career as a teacher and counsellor with the Ministry of Education. She earned advanced degrees from Durham University (Ed.D), the National University of Singapore (M.Ed), and James Cook University (MGC), blending academic excellence with practical expertise. As past President of the Singapore Malay Teachers’ Union and co-founder of organizations like Club HEAL and the Network of Community Practitioners, she has tirelessly advanced education, mental health advocacy, and community welfare. 

 

Dr Bibi Jan has been recognized for her impactful community service: she was awarded the Pingat Bakti Masyarakat in 1987, the Public Service Star (PBM) in 2006, and the BBM (Public Star) in 2017 by the President of Singapore. In her role as Educational Advisor at Al‑Misbah Academy and as a senior associate counsellor at Sparkz Counselling, she continues to mentor educators, parents, and youth in both secular and Islamic settings. Through her leadership in both government and non‑government organisations, Dr Bibi Jan remains a guiding force in strengthening mental wellness and educational support systems across Singapore
